Description:
Discrimination against people of size is as common as race-based discrimination. That’s the finding of a recent study by the Rudd Center for Food Policy & Obesity at Yale University.
While a few cities have passed laws outlawing discrimination on the basis of weight, they are few and far between. However, passing judgment on an individual because he or she is fat may lead to unfair hiring and promotional decisions, as well as pay disparities, not to mention feelings of alienation and isolation on the part of the worker. Plus, weight-motivated discrimination or harassment can lead to a difficult work environment and decreased morale for all employees.
Order this in-depth audio conference recording where you’ll learn how to eradicate weight bias in the workplace and motivate your entire workforce into practicing healthy habits designed to boost employee engagement.
